ABOUT ME
Eric Abele is a theatrical designer who specializes in costume and puppet design for Theatre for Young Audiences. Currently Eric is the Senior Lecturer in Costume Design at the University of Maryland Baltimore County Department of Theatre, where he also serves as Associate Chair. His research, with his colleague Lauren Roark, is developing digital rendering pedagogy for costume designers. Together, the own Digital Theatre Design LLC and host courses to teach digital design using Procreate.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Dramatic Arts and German at Centre College and completed his Masters of Fine Art in Costume Design at the University of Tennessee. Currently he's working on a BFA in Painting, Drawing, and Printmaking and a BS in Art History at Towson University.
He will never graduate.
Eric lives in Baltimore, MD with his husband, Andrew, and cat children.
